Succeeding as an entrepreneur takes hard work and persistence because, unfortunately, there is no business-startup fairy who magically bestows success on small businesses and their owners.

Passion, perseverance and a positive attitude tend to set successful entrepreneurs apart. Cultivating these attributes requires an innate skill set and some tips to get started.

SET A PLAN.

Read about successful businesses. Take in the wealth of knowledge that’s been provided by successful entrepreneurs such as Steve and the personalities. A successful business plan does not have to be a book. A 10-page plan is digestible yet long enough to include everything you need to start.

BE PASSIONATE ON WHAT YOU DO!

Passion is key to keeping a business strategy moving. Half-hearted ness in an entrepreneurial endeavor will chip away at your drive to succeed. Perseverance is the one thing that’s guaranteed to move anything over time, whether it’s a person, a job or an entire company. Abraham Lincoln failed at most of his efforts until late in his life, but he never gave up.

START SMALL

Jumping all in is rarely ever successful. There are success stories about people who invested everything once and came out winners after six months or a couple years, but those are rare. Risk management is an essential factor in any startup, and balance is vital. You can absorb losses more easily if you take smaller risks in the beginning. Those will provide essential and productive lessons.

PROMOTE YOURSELF

Confidence and a good elevator speech can take any pitch to the next level. The first marketing any company experiences comes from its founder. Spend time learning how to share your vision without coming across as “sales.” Don’t be afraid to ask for the sale, but remember: the client is always the focus.  

BUILD GOOD REPUTATION

According to one admin at Google maintenance of a blog on a well-hosted website, or volunteering your time and skills, shows instead of tells the community, and thereby builds expertise and trust.

BUILD A TEAM

Rowling (Harry Potter author), Julia Child (chef), and Sam Walton (Wal-Mart) all started their wildly successful brands after they were comfortably along in their lives. Having the experience that comes with age can give you a unique outlook on your business. Life experiences bring depth that the most educated young adult, by his or her nature, is less able to foresee.

THE IDEA SEEMS so obvious once it occurs to you: Why don’t I make a comfortable passive income selling things online? Why, I could even do that kind of work from the comfort of my own home!

After all, starting an online store today has become simpler than ever. You don’t need to build a website or an online shopping cart yourself — a cloud-based company such as Big Commerce can handle that for you. Marketing? Try Google AdWords. Selling? Through Amazon and eBay, I can reach hundreds of millions of customers with a click.

If I sound a little snarky about all this, that’s because getting started in e-commerce requires the same degree of eye-rolling skepticism demanded by any promise of friction-free riches. Just Google “start an online store” if you doubt me. You’re immediately pulled down into a cesspool of content-farm swill deploying rhetoric worthy of the multi-level marketing pitches you find tacked to telephone poles. If it’s this easy to gin up a moneymaking online store, then everybody will be doing it. And I’m sure economists have a formula that tells us just how inversely proportional “everybody doing it” is to the value added by (and money made by) each additional sucker who joins the mob.

That said, the opportunity presented by the sheer number of services available to a retail business purely through the browser is seductive. If you have a product that people really want, or have some cool, original ideas about how to sell cool, original products that other people are making, the escape velocity required to turn that idea into a genuine business is lower than ever. Forget software as a service. Welcome to the age of stuff as a service.

Well, if some people don’t see you with any man and they eventually see you with somebody, especially, when you have things going well for you, they assume you are having an affair with that individual. MC Olumo is a person you can’t hide or run away from, apparently, I don’t have any issues with him, so I see no reason why I have to avoid him. I don’t have any kind of romance with him; but as regards Senator Ganiu Solomon, he is like a father to me.

Olamide is more like a brother from another mother. His humility has made him achieve so much and he is still going to achieve more. I can always stand anywhere and vouch for him. I had to go and support him for his ‘OLIC’ in the United States. Basically, Olamide is my brother.

I don’t have problem with any of my colleagues. I have a good relationship with them. I greet them often, and we exchange pleasantries. I don’t know about any allegations. I am close to virtually all of them. But I believe they are in a better position to explain that. I try as much not to step on their toes and respect myself.

On marriage

Laughs, Well, I am engaged; but not married. My relationship is not what I want to unveil to the media for now. Don’t be surprised you might see me tomorrow with my child.

On the thing that made her weep in the past

My father’s demise. When I was starting the entertainment business, my mum would report me to my dad and he will call privately and ask me if that is what I want to do and I will tell him yes. He would offer his candid advice and tell me to follow my dreams. Here I am today; my dad is not here to see how far I have gone and how well I am doing. At times, while doing things, I wish my dad was alive to see it. I have missed that fatherly love. I actually get it from other people but I still wished my dad was alive.

On her reaction to news circulating concerning her

It’s my eleventh year in the entertainment industry as a whole. I read a lot of things about me on the internet, newspaper and magazines; I heard people talk lies about me. I have learnt to wear a thick skin and turn deaf ears to negative stories. That is the only way you can go forward in the industry, just ignore.

Jacob Zuma south African president, appeals reinstatement the graft charges labeled against him

Jacob Zuma South Africa's President and the state prosecutor launched an appeal on Friday against a High Court ruling to reinstate 783 corruption charges against the head of state.

(NPA) The National Prosecuting Authority set aside the charges against Zuma in 2009, allowing him to participate for president that same year, but the High Court this May 2009 ordered a review of that decision, terming it as "irrational".

The case has reemerged in the run-up to local government elections in August that should be a stern test for the ruling African National Congress (ANC) as opposition parties gain support on the back of Zuma's perceived failures and scandals.

Jacob Zuma's office said the High Court made a mistake in saying, "the National Director of Public Prosecutions was not entitled to terminate a prosecution, on the basis of misconduct & abuse of the process".

The NPA's decision in 2009 was based on phone intercepts presented by Jacob Zuma's legal team, that made a suggestion that the timing of the charges may have been part of a political plot against Jacob Zuma.

The state prosecutor is appealing the ruling on the grounds, that the law allowed him the discretion to decide when to lay charges, & that the court ruling could dilute the NPA's powers.

Should the appeal fail & the charges be reinstated, it would be the latest political setback for Jacob Zuma after he was ordered by the Constitutional Court to pay back some of 11 million pounds, in state money spent upgrading his private home.

Comrade Boboi Kaigama, President of the Trade Union Congress (TUC), Say's any governor who cannot pay workers’ salaries to resign from office immediately, as the Congress was ready to make their states ungovernable over the non payment of salaries.

The resolutions reached at the State Executive Committee meeting presided over by the Chairman, Williams Sunday Ajayi in the state capital Ado Ekiti, on Wednesday.

This came after the outcry by Governor of Niger State, Abubakar Bello, that he cannot pay workers’ salaries due to the present economic hardship in Nigeria.

No fewer than 15 states including Ondo, Oyo, Kogi, Benue, Delta, Bayelsa Ekiti, Osun, , Plateau, Imo, Taraba owe public servants arrears of salaries.

Kaigama vowed that the Congress would not be cowed by anybody, no matter how highly placed.

The Nigeria Federal Government  Thursday June 2016 stop the conduct of post (UTME) for all candidates seeking admission into higher institution.

The government explained that all tertiary institutions were at liberty to conduct screening for candidates seeking admission into any school.

“This year we have more than enough candidates, we have over 1.5 million candidates so we will get enough candidates to take in all the schools if they are serious. Re-distribution is already ongoing, because it is embedded in the registration procedure.”

Minister of Education, on Thursday in Abuja Mallam Adamu Adamu said this  after declaring open the 2016 Combined Policy Meeting on Admissions to Universities, Polytechnics and other higher institutions in Nigeria.
The Minister further expressed confidence in the examination conducted by the (JAMB), adding that there will be no need for other examination to be conducted by universities after JAMB.

He said: “As far as I am concerned the nation has confidence in what JAMB is doing". The universities should not hold another examination and if the universities have any complain against JAMB it should be brought to book, it and then we address it.
“If JAMB is qualified enough to conduct tests and they have conducted test then there will be no need to conduct another test for students to gain admission.”
The 180 benchmark, applies to all universities and higher institutions in the country, including polytechnics, colleges of education, and others.

The Minister further ask JAMB to stop extra charges on changes on admissions such as the change of course, change of school and others.
Meanwhile, the JAMB has pegged the cut  off mark for admission for this year is 180.
Chief Executive Officer, JAMB’s Registrar Prof. Dibu Ojerinde, after a long debate with delegates from various institutions, told reporters that "no institution would go below the 180 cut-off set by the board".

He said: “180 is given, no institution will go below 180 this year.

Alexandrian Vega, a 24 year old teacher in Texas Aldine School District, has been accused of getting pregnant during an alleged sexual relationship with a 13-year-old pupil has been arrested after reporting herself in to police ,

The 24 year old teacher allegedly told school district officials that she met the boy during summer school previous year and began having sexual intercourse with him in September
Alexandrian Vera became pregnant with the 13 year old boy (which the name wasn't mentioned) in January, according to police. When she told the boy's parents, they were "very supportive and excited", she told a school district investigator.
Vera, who was dismiss from her job in April 2016, reportedly became nervous and aborted the pregnancy, while Child Protective Services questioned her and the student in February 2016 according to court documents
At first Alexandria Vera who went missing before police could arrest her, turned herself in to Montgomery County police on Wednesday. Brady Fitzgerald, Sheriff's spokesman, said she posted a $100,000 bond and was released. She is charged with continual child sexual abuse.
